INSEAD Knowledge "Capitalism thrives in virtual world: Second Life gives commerce a second chance" Online Posting 22. Oct. 2009 15 Feb. 2010
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aiokl4a1AWI

Before Second Life the online virtual world was a place where you could spend your free time to enjoy some entertainment. Today commerce and capitalism have now entered the online virtual world. It changed when the video world decided to give ownership to others than the creators of assets they created. There is now ownership and trade going on in Second Life. For example when you enter Second Life you can enter a clothing store and buy shoes, accessories, or clothes. The virtual money is real money because of the exchange rate for ownership. The basic idea for Second Life is a place where you can engage in a online community in a more efficient way. For example when you may not be able to physically participate in a work conference you can still have input while being on Second Life.

INSEAD is one of the worlds largest graduate business schools with three campuses in Europe, Asia, and in the Middle East. INSEAD brings cultural ideas from around the world to view different perspectives and all aspects of Second Life. The video was created on October 22nd of 2009. The source can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aiolk4a1AWI. The information given in the video is relevant because it discusses how commerce came to the online virtual world. The video gives information that can help anyone make money.

Submarine Channel "Another Perfect World." Online Posting. 30 June 200925 Jan. 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxZP_ur_Tvo

In the video "Another Perfect World" they discuss different issues that have occurred in the virtual life. Since the coming of the virtual world there has been players that focus mainly on the game. It is another world where you can create a character that resembles yourself or who you would like to be. The players can spend a good amount of their time in the virtual world. There are two different views to this game. There are people who believe that you can waist too much time in a world that is not reality. Others believe that they can be updated with the latest news. The game creators not only have love for this virtual world but it is also their actual profession. Everyone can either have a great experience in the virtual world but I think it is what you make of it

Submarine is an Amsterdam based production studio that produces documentaries and cross media programs for broadcasters and media companies. Another Perfect World is a documentary about an online world. The online world is a portrayed image either from realistic images or imaginative images. The film was created in Toronto, Canada in the year 2000 and is currently updated. The source can be located at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxZP_ur_Tvo Submarine productions is a very reliable production company where the source was found. The source added to my blog because it helped with information I needed to gather for my questions.

Fullerton, Ticky "Interview with Philip Rosedale" 19. Mar 2007 28. Jan 2010 http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/special_eds/20070319/default_full.htm

I think that Philip Rosedale explains that Second Life is a website that you either sign on to and when you do your experience can be completely up to you. It is a world that you make up in your mind. That is where Second Life comes into because; you create that world and those emotions. For example love, anger, and sexual fantasies. The avatar that you created and what you to choose to do with your avatar can seem real for someone. It is as if now your fantasies and imaginations are real scenarios. Users have all sort of different experiences and I think that Second Life lets you in a way choose your experiences.

Ticky Fullerton is currently the national business reporter of ABC. Fullerton is a recipient of the Peter Hunt Eureka Prize for Environmental Journalism. The purpose of the interview was to help others get a better understanding of Second Life. The interview was published the 19th of March in the year 2007. The interview can be found on the source http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/special_eds/20070319/default_full.htm I would rather use this source because of the fact that the reporter is Ticky Fyllerton. Fullerton is a well known reporter. The source would be a very good site to visit and get basic information on Second Life.

http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/special_eds/20070319/default_full.htm

In the interview Shirky describes Second Life as a mere avatar that represents yourself and you have a 3D social life. Second Life will soon be a place where everyone will be able to have contact with one another. Users that sign on to Second Life are there to interact with others and there are now users who simply sign on to Second Life to earn an income. There are other users who have signed on because it is now something that has been on the media. Shirky believes that Second Life will be all communication through schools and businesses within the years.
